While Starlink has completely changed the game for how people fly and access realtime weather information, 8Flight was designed to be offline-first and seamlessly at that.
Essentially anything you view in the app before you take off will still be there when you're flying. And we download weather information for several hours into the future so you'll have everything you need even if plans change too.
Charts, navigation data, and airport / FBO / destination information are always available offline (including FBO prices, etc).
Even flight planning calculations are available offline for several hours after you last opened the app online -- so you can see exactly how long a deviation / diversion / reroute / altitude change / etc will take, and we'll present the live data in "FMS" instruments on the map too. And because all that data is available offline, instant Skew-Ts near your route are too. We basically put a weather model and $100,000 FMS in your pocket.
And even the 14-day meteogram is available offline if you've viewed it in the app recently before flight.
