Runways

The runways view provides all runway details in one organized, color-coded glance.

Runway ends, length, surface type, and weight limits. Flagged if best wind.

Right traffic indicator, magnetic heading, and slope.

Visual approach slope indicator information.

Types of approaches available (in pink).

Lighting available.

Declared distances.

Current headwind / tailwind and crosswind components (from latest ASOS, otherwise latest METAR, otherwise nearest METAR).

Forecast headwind / tailwind and crosswind components for the next two TAF periods (from the nearest TAF).

(Runway ends are sorted if one has obviously better winds than the other.)

Runway ends and wind components colored:

Green - headwind with less than a 15 knot crosswind

Orange - crosswind greater than 15 knots or tailwind greater than 10 knots (soon 5 knots)

Red - crosswind greater than 30 knots (soon 25 knots) or tailwind greater than 20 knots (soon 15 knots)
